Chaud felt a dizzy sensation, as if his head was whirling. He knew the experiment hadn't gone successfully and cursed himself. The second thing he noticed was that he was injured and on a hospital bed. He tried to open his eyes, but that did little good, as everything was swirling to him. He realized he had a concussion, but his immediate thoughts were for Proto.
"Where is he?" he whispered. "Proto...I need you..."
"Where is he?" he whispered. "Proto...I need you..."

"...
"...He won't be waking up for a while now..."
"We will need to enquire at the desk as to which room they put him in," he said to Enzan, letting go of the other's hand.
Netto had been to several worlds already with unsuccessful results, but he could feel half of a strong doppelganger link somewhere nearby. He runs his finger down the page in the phone book at the telephone stand to find to the address for the hospital. Enzan had said Chaud was injured.
Finding the location, he nods, shuts the book, and heads off in that direction...presuming, of course, the streets are similar to his world.
Blues walked up to the reception desk, dodging a couple small children as the ran past him and ignoring the shocked murmurs from the people who had witnessed his and Enzan's sudden appearance. A few minutes later, he had the information he needed and he returned to Enzan's side.
"Room 211," he said. "Second floor. The elevator is this way." He headed down the hall, trusting Enzan to follow behind him.
He caught hold of Netto as the young man fell into him. "Hello, Hikari-san," he said coolly, gently trying to push him back upright. If he had been a true enemy, Blues would have kept hold of him, but this was a version of Netto and he was still hoping to be able to reason with him. "I don't believe we've met. My name is Blues."
He turned to Proto, his expression dark. "You know what that would take. Can you really do that to him, Proto? Can you put someone else through the pain of losing their friend like that?"
He shook his head. "I'm here because I've seen what losing their Enzan does to a Blues. You know what losing you did to Chaud. I know what losing my Blues did to me. Can you live with that?"
((Ack! Internet death, sorry about that.))
((I love my spotty internet connection, yes I do.))
He chuckled a bit. "We live next door to Princess Pride, her navi Knightman, Yaito and her navi Glyde, and another Laika. It's pretty much insane. There are a lot of mechanicals who live there, and as long as they pass the sentience test, they have equal rights."
