Blue Lightning

Chaud was dressed rather comfortably, just hanging around. Nowhere special, you see. Except he couldn't get home. He also had no idea he'd just been LOLed or even what it was. He had, however, managed to procure clothes like what he wore then. From when he was younger-ish, maybe thirteen.

Yes, choke collar included.

He was certainly acting thirteen, too. He didn't seem to care where he was, although anyone familiar with Chauds or Enzans should've recognized the mildly panicked look in his eyes.

Mild panic increasing now.

"Hello? Anyone around? Proto? Lan? I'll settle for a ghost of my father, even!" Heavily censored from the original, of course. He did not have a very clean mouth back then, apparently.

Since the post went up about general Netbattling et al, I felt the need to clarify on the use of Full Synchro and Perfect Synchro in Chaud's world. Anyone using Muramasa or whatever feel free to swipe. Extrapolated from the manga.

Deep in the Undernet, where few good Navis dared lurk, the viruses were far stronger than surface ones. Yet even they were no match for the sword slicing them to data fragments at that time.

A Scuttle shrieked in pain as a slash swiped it in half, the sound cut off by its deletion. A red blur was barely visible cutting through the mass.

I'm back!
Anyone miss me?

Hate to do this but it must be done due to various RL issues.
Dopplemuns (RPers of this account, sun_darkness, silvercrimson, sunlit_shadow, blue_hacker, netto_virus, as well as the extra accounts memoryblues, blues_blaze and though no one ever guessed it Proto/Blues/Netto-mun had kido_shuuko as well) have to deal with some stuff and go somewhere that may take a while. Don't know how long, and it certainly isn't a vacation. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

Chaud stepped off the plane at DenTech airport and tucked his PET away in his vest. Not only had the Officials been impressed with him in Sharo, they'd liked the DX design. They wanted to figure out how it worked. He didn't leave it with them, of course...he would've left it with his alt if he was alive, provided Proto was in the real world while someone else had the PET.
A different change in him was also happening. Ever since he'd been able to go on the Net, he hadn't needed the injections to keep himself under control. It was odd, to him, but he could accept it. Which meant that what he'd felt with Proto that time...it was real.
He shivered despite the warm climate and started walking towards the Metroline. He'd have to get a car here, of course, especially now that he had a job. And when Proto came out, he could try and locate his alt's company, if there was one still, and give them his PET to have a look at--maybe help the other NetSavers by speeding development of the DX up. Interference was the last thing on his mind. As far as he was concerned, this was his world now.
Chaud hummed to himself softly as he bought a Metro ticket back to Beach Street, mentally preparing his report for Famous that he'd send in the morning. For now, he just needed to get home and rest.

Chaud-mun will be away from computer access and on vacation from August 9th-12th. If he is needed for a plot before or after then, post here.

Sooo....I got this off the young Enzan. Respond here and I'll give you three words that I think describe you. Well. In my opinion, anyway. *smirk*

Spent some more time in the Nexus recently. I'm really starting to like that place, even though it's a bit messed up. Met a couple odd people. Same old, same old.
When I came back, I spent a little time transferring back and forth between the real world and the net under Gamma's supervision. I think I'll call the ability Cyberstreaming. It's a good escape.
I hope I haven't been causing Proto too much trouble lately. Serious trouble, anyway. Because now I just have to prank him like the younger Netto suggested.
I also really need a job.

Chaud shut his journal and leaned back in the chair, thoughtful. He could grab the newspaper and check the listings, but there was something he needed to do first.
"Gamma, send me one of the cleanup programs you assigned to Proto's hair."
The screen flickered on."What are you intending to do, exactly?"
Chaud turned to face the house Navi. "Just a little joke," he explained. "I need his hairbrush without him knowing it's gone."
"I believe you're in luck, as he hasn't returned yet," Gamma turned and accessed the program controls. Several seconds later, a housecleaning robot sped up to Chaud with Proto's hairbrush in its pincers. Chaud plucked a few long silver hairs off the brush.
"Go on," Chaud made a shoo-shoo motion at the robot, which obediently went to return the brush to its place. "...Gamma, has he been counting his hairs?"
The Navi struggled to not look amused and failed. "Yes, though he did not this morning, he seemed to think he could leave it until he got back."
Chaud grinned and pulled out his teleporter. "If he shows up...you can tell him where I am. I want him to see this. For now, though, I'm going to the Nexus. Activate the security system when I go."
"Yes, Chaud," Gamma grinned and waited for him to teleport out, then brought up the security grid and shut off the monitor. Although he'd never say it, pulling a prank sounded like fun, and he was happy to be in on it. His original Chaud would've never done something like that.

Chaud's a very complex character, and chances are if he's run into yours he thinks something about them. So post here if you want to know what he really thinks...the results may surprise you, as he's often not as he seems.

Chaud slumped against the wall. His visit to the Nexus and discussion with Blues had almost completely drained his energy. He had fled back to Netto's world as he had nowhere else to go, except for the fact that, although now human again, he had been pulled into the net. Having no idea as to where he was, he curled up in a ball and leaned against a cyberwall, slowly rocking back and forth with tears streaming down his face.

After finally meeting and talking with Dark Blues, Chaud had gained the courage to talk to Proto. Which was something he should've done a long time ago.
He wanted to make sure that no one else was around though, so he waited until Enzan and Blues left for the Nexus and he was sure Netto and Rock weren't coming back. Then he took the PET out of the recharger, hesitated, and pulled the chip Proto had used to transfer beforehand out. He made a mental note to give that back to the younger Enzan next time they met, and slipped in the upload chip Netto had left on the table. It was marked 'RT Program', so he assumed it installed the program that let Navis transfer between worlds. He hit the power button and let Proto fully materialize and wake, but activated the upload before he had a chance to say anything.
